ITM TRAINING COURSES
The ITM Teacher Training Course is a four-year training course for the study of the work of FM Alexander. The course combines elements of lesson experience, text study, discussion and practical teaching technique over a broad range of topics. Because the primary purpose of studying with the ITM is personal development and life-enhancement, the ITM Teacher Training Course is suitable for all, not just people who wish to become teachers.​
THE ITM TEACHER TRAINING COURSE MODULES
The ITM Teacher Training Course is divided into three sections.

Designed for the general public, in the first three modules trainees study the basic principles to be found in Alexander’s work, the principles and structures that govern human movement and life-changing material from the fields of success education and business management.

The next three modules provide an in-depth study of practical anatomy as it relates to movement and the use of hands in teaching, as well as a more detailed study of Alexander’s four books.
​
The fourth year of the training cycle enables students to take what they have learned to synthesise a personal way to teach Alexander’s work in a creative ITM manner.

FUTURE PLANS FOR ITM TRAINING
The current ITM Training course began in September 2021 and runs until June 2025. On completion of this course, we will begin to make training plans for 2026.
In due course we will fully update our training prospectus. In the meantime, you are welcome to download the 2021 prospectus (below), where you will find some valuable information about the ITM and our training process. Please bear in mind that elements of the course and the costs that you see in this prospectus may differ in significant ways in the future.
